Thinking the root cause might not be the sensor itself then, unless they’re a known failure point.
That should be fun to diagnose.

Mine was diagnosed as causing CANBUS communications problems although now I’m a bit skeptical.
Anyway I’ve been driving without one for a year now and I actually like having the extra space where it usually lives and I like not worrying about it triggering if I have a minor mishap on the trail and I worry I’m going to be crippled if I’m in an accident the other 99.99% o f the time.
Really need to just get it replaced. That and my fuel gauge sensor which I’m tired of having to worry about.
